Inspiration for this large abstract landscape oil painting came from walking on the South Downs during the pandemic. The seed heads were blowing in the breeze, the ground was still lush with wildflowers. It was peaceful and energetic and that’s what this painting is conveying: harmony, flow and vivacious nature.

Deepest forest green makes a good ground for the hot pink and lime centre of the painting. The floating seed heads are delicate in comparison in pale pink and sky blue.

Chalk Meadow - High Summer is made on a high quality deep canvas stretcher and the sides are painted the same colours as the image.

It is signed on the back and has the studio stamp on the side.
